MM Hills (Male Mahadeshwara)

Route: Sivasumudram - MN Hills - Mettur - Dharmapuri - Krishnagiri - Hosoor(N7) – Bangalore - MN Hills - Mettur - Dharmapuri - Hosoor(SH) - Banglore

Riders: Professor, Diwakar and Me

This was a 1 day ride. We planned to start around 6 AM on September 14, ’08. But me and diwakar got late and meet professor around 6:30. We were to take the route via the nice road to mysore, but we lost diwakar. So we decided to take another route. We had are breakfast in kanakpura. Around 10 kms from Kanakpura we encountered real bad roads. In fact, no proper tar roads as some work were going and then the truck traffic was there as well. We negotiated the traffic to Sivasumdram. After Sivasumudram the roads were really good to enjoy. The roads were state highway road leading to TN. We took a diversion to reach MM hills. Then diwakar and professor went to the temple at the top of the hills. I spent my time outside the temple. Then we had our lunch in a shop near the bus-stand. From there we took a different route i.e. Via TamilNadu. The mountain acts as a line between Karnataka and tamilnadu. The road was full of mud and sad and very less traffic. It was fun and careful riding. After that we reached Mettur. From mettur we started riding towards Dharmapuri. I missed both professor and Diwakar after mettur. Then I reached Bangalore around 7 in the evening.

Bangalore - Yercard - Erode - Bangalore

Route: Bangalore - Hoosor - Krishnagiri - Dharmapuri - Salem (N7) - Take first left in 5 junction and go straight to Yercard – Salem - Erode

Day1:
The ride was done in 1 bike by me and Rishi. This ride was more about attending house warming ceremony of Santhond in erode. We planned like going to yercard spending a day and the leave for yercard. Left Bangalore around 6 AM on August 30, 08 and reached salem around 11 AM. From salem we had to check out for the route to Yercard. We finally reached Yercard around 12. The hair-bends around 28 were really great. The road the Salem was also great. It was fun riding the bike. This ride was easier for me becoz of Horsely hills. Came to know the basics of the highway riding. We stayed in big hotel. Spent some roaming around Yercard and went back to hotel to reset for the night. We went to place called Cauvery point but found out nothing is there. And found it was a ring road in Yercard. While returning from Cauvery point we identified a view point which was isolated and spent some time.

Day2:
Next day morning we went around yercard. We searched for a waterfall. We did not go the waterfall becz of the route. It was muddy and slippery. Then we started back to salem. In salem we had lunch and started of the erode. The road towards Erode was not great. The road were being laid. Then we entered into Erode via a State Highway. The road was really good. We spent the evening in erode just by resting.

Day3:
We attended the House warming ceremony of Santhosh on Monday (September 01, ’08). Then we started riding back. We started back from Erode around 11 in morning just to avoid EC traffic in the evening. While coming back from Dharmapuri we took the State Highway to Hosur. On the way we had to halt becoz the rain. We reached Bangalore by 5:30.

First BN Ride

Route: Bangalore - Hoskote - Chintamani - Rayalpadu - Madanpalli – Horsley Hills -Madanpallu -Punganuru -Palmaneru-Mulbagal-Kolar-Hoskote-Bangalore

This was my first ride with BN. I was introduced to the group by my colleague Sunil Dhummi. It was my first ride with a biking group in an organized way. We started from Bangalore on August 17th, ‘08 at 6:00 I met all riders in KR Puram. We were 7 guys.

Riders: Professor, Vasanth, Sunil, Anoop, Diwakar, Me
Pillion: Rtiesh

On the way to horsely hill we went to Rishi Valley School. This was completely different type of school from education to way to studying. Enjoyed time there. Went to horsely and did off roading for the first time. I need help from Anoop and Vasanth for taking the bike to the road back. While returning back , we took a different via Kolar. The roads were being built. It was too tiring for me becoz the total distance was around 450KM for the first time. I was riding without a proper jacket and helmet. My eyes were completely screwed becoz of the dust (Wizer was a scrap). Learnt a lot about riding with a group in disciplined manner.

Ride to Nandi Hills

Route:Bangalore - Hebbal Flyover - Nandi Hills

It all started while partying on August 14th, '07.Ritesh proposed of visiting Nandi hills.
I , diwakar and rishi agreed on it.But as we were about to start rishi feel asleep did not join us.
After Hebbal flyover we were doing good speed around 90km/hr.
It is a good place to visit in the early morning. The scenery was amazing. Clouds all .It seemed as if we were riding through the clouds. Finally reached the top around 6:00 am and parked our bikes. Went to the guesthouse, saw the sunrise from there. Too snaps and felt great seeing scenic beauty and that too only 70 kms from Bangalore. Reached back home by 12-12:30

First Ride on Bull to Mysore

Day1:
We had just meet a couple of weeks before the ride at office as colleague. While smoking i said i am buying a TB and wanted to do a ride. We immediately decided to visit Mysore. We started on April 7th, a week after getting my TB.
We were to meet up at Forum. The funniest part was even though i was leaving in Koramangala for more than 4 months; still i didn't know the route to forum. We meet at Forum around 6-6:30 and started are ride.We wanted to have a break around 9 AM while riding, moment we found out the Mandya CCD we took a break. Had a good bird watch in CCD and started to Mysore. We reached Mysore around lunch time. We refreshed and visited Mysore palace. In Mysore palace we took a ride on camel. It was scary and funny. We returned to hotel and started searching for a pub. Finally we came to know there is pub on the way to Chamundi hills. We went in an auto to the pub becoz we didn’t want to ride back drunk.Had good time in the pub, reached hotel back by 11:30 and rested for the day.
Day2:
On the way back we went to Brindavan Gardens. While going i was saying don't leave me alone since i did not know Hindi (Cauvery Issue).
The garden was closed, so we spent time in outside. After starting from Brindavan Gardens, we stopped at Mandya CCD for some time. After that we reached our places around 6PM.
It was not only a great ride but also a laying stone for the friendship
